William Russell Flint – ‘A Spanish Christening’ – Drypoint Etching

(PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE WILLIAM RUSSELL FLINT)

Sir William Russell Flint

‘A Spanish Christening’ (1928)

Drypoint Etching, signed and numbered in brown ink

This is from the sixth state, which is the published state in an edition of 75

Plate size: 22.5cm X 30cm (approx.)

The etching is in very good condition.

The signature is distinguishable but has faded considerably, (a problem that does occur sometimes with Flints’ signatures in ink. Likewise the edition number has faded.)

Flint made two versions of ‘A Spanish Christening’. This is the second and was the one that he went on to publish. A detailed and atmospheric work showing Flint’s love of the Spanish culture during this period.

£460 (This picture is unframed and can easily be delivered within the UK, to Europe, the USA, and to many International Destinations, by fully insured post).
