This signed original etching from Edward Slocombe is a calm and delightful pastoral scene. Edward Slocombe was one of the four Slocombe brothers who were very popular for their etched work in the latter part of the 19th Century. Edward, both a painter and etcher, produced prints for the ‘Portfolio’, the ‘Art Journal’ and the Fine Art Society.

This is a fine example of his work.
